Did anyone watch it? I watched most of what was splayed on G4 Tech TV. I paid the most attention to Microsoft and the brutal bitch slapping they gave Sony (I apologise to any owners of PS3s).
Below is my list of games I absoloutly cannot wait to play for the 360. - Gears of War 2 - Call of Duty 4 - Rockband 2 - Guitar Hero 3 - Splinter Cell: Conviction - Fable 2 - Halo Wars - Mass Effect (I'm aware that it's already out, I just want it) - Soul Caliber 4 - Final Fantasy 13 (Yeah that's right bitches, for the 360)
I've also heard of something called Grand Theft Auto: China Town Wars. I don't know how true that is but if it is, I'd definitly be interested in playing it.
I'm looking for opinions from the rest of you, what is your list of games for 2008 that you can't wait to play? Mass Effect will be my first purchase, I plan on getting it tomorrow. Bare in mind, this topic isn't exclusive to XBOX 360, that's just my system of choice.
I wouldn't mind playing Killzone 2, Resident Evil 5 and I have played Smash Bros Brawl, and if I had I Wii, I would do everything to that game. I would wreck that game.

Nintendo's press conference was so many typed of phail it hurt. Pretty much a big "F*** YOU" to all the hardcore gamers out there. The most hardcore thing they announced at all for the Wii was just more Wii Sports. Ugh.

I always thought the Wii had plenty of casual gamer content (apparentally not lmao).

What Nintendo needs to do is start making more mature versions of their current franchises. For example, I heard that in the initial stages of development LoZ:TP was going to have a very dark, post-apocalyptic theme -- they could still do that in another game. Or perhaps a Pokemon game that isn't so kiddy and "OMG FRENDSHIPP YAY" - ish.

Honestly, I was surprised when Resident Evil 4 came out on the Wii, but I guess I should've known it'd be a one time thing. My love for Nintendo is fading fast, as is the case with many of their long time fans. They need to straighten up or drop out of the console race, I can only see it going downhill from here.

Honestly, I like Nintendo, but I do think they need to move their games into a mature direction. LoZ:TP worked reasonably well, though as it was a GCN game* it is not relevant to this discussion.
I wasn't aware that Pokemon XD was intended to be more mature. They musta epic failed on it! I think that they should at least make the Pokemon look more bad-ss, if they're not gonna make the whole game more mature -- I've seen bad-ss artwork of even the most awkward-looking Pokemon, so I know it's possible.
* The Wii version of LoZ:TP doesn't count. 'Cause it sucked.

It was originally meant to be a GCN title, yes, but that doesn't change the fact it was still a great game.

Nintendo has taken the budget approach in the platform race. By making it cheaper, you can't expect it to achieve the same things as the expensive brands.
Microsoft is kicking ass right now but PS3 is the more expensive system and most are expecting Sony to take the lead in the future.
I'm surprised to hear about Twighlight Princess being a darker game, I think they should've rolled with that. I would totally buy that. Dark Poke'mon? Don't count on it. I know it would be neat for hardcore gamers but the kids are Poke'mon's big audience and if their games aren't rated for their target market.. Well, that just doesn't make any sense.

It's not too late to make a dark TP game.
