Game: N Glitch: Objects Outside Levels Discoverer: Me, probably others Description: Enter N's debug mode (Ned or N-ed), and maximize the window. Now, you can place objects outside the level. The PROBLEM is, collisions with objects outside the level are ignored, you cannot place terrain outside the level, and if your ninja touches the level boundaries from the outside, he dies instantly. And if he DOESN'T, then he falls forever. I tried to make a cool level that utilized the infamous Launch Pad Teleport glitch to allow the ninja to travel inside and outside the level, but it didn't work. My failed attempt can be seen below:

Game: Red Steel Level: In the Name of the Father Description: I blew up one of the cars once, and when I walked up to it, there were still glowing spots where the headlights were. They floated in midair. 0_o
Game: Red Steel Level: Night of the Komoris Description: There is a part where you end up on a roof. When you jump down, Komoris fire on you from everywhere. This part is just before the burning room part. Anyway, when you're on the roof, walk to the edge (after shooting the Komoris firing on you), and look to your right. You should see a wall. Move to the very edge. and jump; jump off the roof but quickly move back over it as you go through the barrier. You should go around it. Follow the roof to find that the skyscrapers in the distance have no bottoms.

Game: Red Steel Level: Night of the Komoris Description: In the flaming room, after killing all enemies, it is possible to jump off one of the balconies and land on the bottom part, past the flames. However, there isn't a way back up, so if you do this, you will have to reload from the last checkpoint.

Thx XD I have a few more for Red Steel
Game: Red Steel Glitch: Blurry Vision Description: Sometimes, when you attack an enemy during a swordfight, they will block the attack, the screen'll go blurry, and they'll strike back at you. Well, if this happens right as they get knocked out of the ring, they'll block, the screen will go blurry, they'll walk back in, and everything will stay blurry! (Oddly, though, your hands and swords aren't blurred) I don't know how long this lasts, as my opponent hit me shortly afterward and the effect ended. I found this glitch while fighting Swordfighting Guy #2 in "Blind Date".
Game: Red Steel Glitch: A note about Inaccessable Areas Description: There are several areas that you're not supposed to enter, but some of them CAN be entered by cleverly jumping on things... I can think of two in particular in the Fish Market level: one just across from the Sakatemaru's stairs, and one in the room where you recover the Katana Giri. In addition, for most of these, the programmers seem to have thought ahead -- if you jump into these two walled-off areas, there are stacks of boxes allowing you to get back out, so you're not trapped. Interesting.

Game: Red Steel Level: Blind Date Glitch: Elevator Glitchiness Description: At the first elevator in the level, after you've gotten to the keypass, enter the elevator but don't hit the UP button. Turn to face the button, and activate it from the farthest possible distance. IMMEDIATELY start walking backwards (don't waste time turning around!) and you can make the elevator go up without you, forcing you to Load Last Checkpoint. This can also be done at the top of the elevator; if you make it go DOWN without you, you can actually jump into the elevator shaft and find that you can see through the elevator's back wall. You can't walk through it. Crouch down and shoot underneath it and your gun's muzzle flash will reveal a hidden vent; you can even shoot the vent to make steam come out... Again, you'll have to Load Last Checkpoint. This can also be done with the main elevator in the bar, but unlike the basement one, if done on the main one you do not need to restart, as there is a switch to call the elevator back to whichever floor you're on (OFFICE or BAR).
Game: Red Steel Level: Blind Date Glitch: Shoot Up the Money Room Description: You know the orange panels that stick out of the floor, acting as walls? Well, you can shoot them to destroy them. If you look at the glass wall of the main bar area, you can see the Money Room (that you just passed through) behind it. There are two orange panels behind, but close to, the glass. If you shoot through the glass, the bullet will also hit those orange panels -- but nothing else behind the glass is affected.
And this last one is really more of an observation than a glitch. Game: Red Steel Observation: It seems that all of the computers in the game run Windows. If you look closely at the screens, you can see the old Windows skin; there is a maximized inactive window in the background (so the desktop's invisible); in front of that is a smaller inactive window, and in front of that one is an active window with a lot of form fields. The taskbar is also barely visible.

I'm just good at finding these things... I tried the elevator thing with the main elevator in the bar before, but couldn't get out in time... But that was because I tried to turn around first -- in this glitch, I just backwalked.
There are also some minor glitches: some computer screens don't break when shot (such as the one in Harry's office -- try it after you swordfight him), and in some cutscenes (such as when Ryuichi shoots at you in Fire Escape), bulletholes and muzzle flashes (like when Kajima guns down one of Tokai's men) might not appear.
Most of these are just me finding ways to get into certain places, ways that the developers and testers never thought of. I heard that the human mind works best in its teenage years, so maybe that's it...

Game: Red Steel Glitch: Floating Guy Glitch Level: Business Plot Description: This could be best described by watching the video, it's on my website. It's the one where the bad guy floats. In mid air. Glitch: Dumb Guy Glitch Level: Business Plot Description: Here's a fun thing to try. In the part of the level just after the area where the Floating Guy Glitch happened, go to the door, open it, but don't go inside. Lock on to someone (A button) and let the door close in front of you. Stay locked on to the guy, and open the door. He will have teleported back to his starting position. His location was reset to the starting location. Now, how'd I do the Dumb Guy Glitch? Well, I killed everyone except for one guy, and instead made him surrender. The door closed just after he dropped his weapon. I opened it, and he was just standing there (Part 1). I couldn't walk through him, but he didn't respond to anything... So, after killing all the bad guys downstairs, I jumped onto the corner of the rail and tried to jump onto the Dumb Guy. Instead of landing on him, however, I pushed him away, and when I looked back at him, he was holding an "invisible weapon" -- that is, he thought he had a gun but he was just holding air. (Part 2) I brought him downstairs and tried to bring him to the next gunfight (Part 3). During the gunfight, I found that he completely ignored the presence of the other CPUs, and kept standing there. The video interrupted me as I was saying that I think he uses a template AI -- that is, all the other CPUs use variants of his AI. I made everyone surrender, but the Dumb Guy just stood there, pointing his air gun at me. However, when everybody disappeared AFTER surrendering, he vanished with them. Odd. The videos (there's three) are also on my website. Glitch: High Guy Glitch Level: Business Plot Description: Remember my Elevator glitch, in the "Blind Date" level? Apparently, it's possible in the Finance District level's Elevators too, BUT if, instead of walking OUT of the elevator, you walk back so you're standing exactly between the elevator's doors, the elevator will go up without you... And the shaft will be a multicolored, crazy, glitched up... thing! Apparently, it's possible to get high by being crushed between elevator doors... The second video (in which the glitch was done from the top) shows that jumping does nothing. However, if you crouch after jumping, you'll fall through the elevator shaft's floor and die in a midst of multicolored patterns. I also tried this on "Blind Date", but if you get stuck in the elevator doors, they'll just... not close fully. I actually have screenshots of this, if anyone's interested. Again, the videos (two of 'em) are on my site.

Game: Red Steel Level: Reunion (the last level in the game) Glitch: Below Reunion Description: After you get to the point where you have to walk over a very narrow pathway to cross from one building to another, and after the cutscene in which _____ is poisoned, go to the next checkpoint and then go back to where _____ was wounded. Jump onto the rail and walk around it so that you are on the very side of the building, and then jump down while looking up. You'll be able to see up through the building, and if you did this quickly after _____ walks into the building, you might see him, too. You can head over to the videos page on my site to see it, and you can use this link to download the video directly. On the videos page are two more videos that show what might happen if you have good luck with this glitch: you may be able to land without dying and end up floating around in air below the level!

All of these glitches can be seen on the videos page of my website, but direct links to the video files are also provided. The file format is WMV and they are all under 2MB.Game: Red Steel Level: Burning Trash Glitch: Underground Video: BelowBurningTrashGround.wmv[/i] Description: Preform the stutter glitch against the tree shown at the end of the video. Try moving at different angles to increase the stutter; if you move at the perfect angle, you can glitch under the ground. You don't die, and there are invisible walls on both sides of the area. I never tried going out to sea, perhaps I should've... Game: Red Steel Level: Extreme Wheels Glitch: Ryuichi Cutscene Bug Video: ExtremeWheelsRyuichiCutsceneGlitch.wmv[/i] Description: By jumping from the crates shown onto the right shelves, you can bypass the stairway and therefore avoid triggering the first cutscene with Ryuichi in it. Another glitch -- a "darkroom" with an NPC in it -- can be seen in the video as well, and on reflection I should've tried entering the room... Getting back on topic, triggering the SECOND Ryuichi cutscene does nothing to the first one -- Miyu and Ryuichi are in two locations at the same time. Game: Red Steel Level: Extreme Wheels Glitch: The Elastic Man Effect Video: ElasticMan.wmv[/i] Description: The Elastic Man Effect: shooting a faraway enemy from higher ground with a "normal" weapon like a pistol causes them to stretch and curl, floating in the air and moving through themselves.

This glitch seems to be affected by three factors.
First, you have to be on higher ground than the target. I do not know what effect this has.
Second, you have to be very far away from the enemy. This is probably because if you are far away enough, their AI won't load.
Finally, there has to be something between you and the enemy, something that prevents you from targeting them but doesn't stop bullets; in this case it was a curtain. I did the glitch in another part of the level and in that case I was shooting between windowblinds. So far, I've only been able to get it to work in Extreme Wheels. The other time I did it, I was at the area where the Extreme Wheels Rail Glitch takes place, and I was shooting through the rightmost window's blinds at a target. Apparently, the glitch can be preformed on multiple enemies at once. Triggering their AI cancels the glitch and returns the affected enemy(s) to normal. Killing an affected enemy causes them to land "perfectly", in a cross-like shape with their arms outstretched and legs straight. The glitch cannot be preformed twice upon the same enemy. If you trigger a checkpoint while an enemy is affected, Load[ing] Last Checkpoint will not allow you to preform the glitch a second time upon that enemy. If the checkpoint was activated before triggering the glitch, however, then you can re-do the glitch freely. When doing the glitch in this area, another enemy SEEMED to be affected (I could only see their arm, however, so it is impossible to be sure), but when doing this glitch at the Rail Glitch area, only the wounded enemy was affected. Game: Red Steel Level: Broken Wing Glitch: Cutscene Bypass Glitch Video: BrokenWingCutsceneSkipGlitch.wmv[/i] Description: If you climb up the ladder exactly right, and then jump to the ground away from the plane, you can avoid the cutscene and swordfights. You can still retrigger them and finish the level by jumping back into the pit, and climbing up normally. In this large area, you can find storage containers (which the programmers made solid even though you're not supposed to get to them), "ghost" warehouses that are empty and nonsolid, beta bulletholes (such as the X bullethole shown in the video), and explodable (and invulnerable) small planes. Ryuichi's jet doesn't have Miyu in it; all it contains is some cardboard boxes and a metal crate. Also, there's a nonsolid wall behind him that can only be seen from inside the plane. Only half of the plane's exterior is visible from the outside, but it's all solid. Invisible walls surround the entire area. Oddly, instead of a black void (or a multicolored one like in Business Plot's elevator shafts), there is desert-textured ground far beneath the level that extends to, if not past, the skysphere/skybox's edges.

Game: Red Steel Glitch: Doubleshot Sniper Discoverer: ME Description: Get a sniper rifle. Now, you know how after every shot you have to do... that cartridge ejecting thing...? Well, there's a way to take two shots in rapid succession without having to do so. Take a shot while zoomed in, then, as fast as you can, zoom out while button-mashing B. I discovered this glitch in the Broken Wing Cutscene Bypass Glitch, so it may have just been one of the exclusive abnormalities of that area (though I doubt it).

Game: LoZ: Phantom Hourglass Area: Ice Temple, 3rd floor Glitch: Go to either of the 3rd floor's lowest corners, as far into the corner as you can. You should see a strange aqua effect that changes as you move. There are also some aqua polygon seams, which means that you're actually seeing part of the infinite void. Also, on the minimap, all higher elevations are shown as two tiles longer (in a northern direction) than they really are -- I think these, for lack of a better word, phenomena, are connected.

Game: Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Area: Harrow Island Glitch: Checkpoint Description: I don't know if this is a glitch as much as it is an "exploit", but...
Let Rs equal the amount of Rupees you have before starting the game (and before paying the fee!). Play the game. Whenever you manage to dig up treasure, if you are currently making a profit (if your current Rupees are greater than Rs), save the game. Once the round ends (after 10 treasures are dug up), if you are making a profit, save, and then (do this whether or not you're making a profit) hit Start and select "Save & Quit". Don't save, but do quit. When you reload your save file, you'll be just sailing into the island, you'll have all the Rupees you found prior to saving, AND you won't have to leave the island to start another round of treasure hunting (normally, you have to leave and come back after each round).
